Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Chantly.app (website) or the Chantly mobile application (formerly Gita Press Prayers), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.

Chantly is operated by HYPHNLabs. These terms apply to both the website and Android application.

Use License

HYPHNLabs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

Access and use the Chantly website and app for personal, non-commercial purposes
View, listen to, and download spiritual content (mantras, prayers, chalisa, aarti) for personal devotional use
Share content through provided sharing features

You may not:

Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the website or app
Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Use content for commercial purposes without written permission
Create derivative works or translate the app into other languages
Attempt to bypass security features or access restrictions
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access or extract content

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on Chantly (including text, graphics, logos, audio files, translations, app interface) are owned by HYPHNLabs and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Spiritual Content: The prayers, mantras, chalisa, and aarti presented on Chantly are based on traditional Hindu scriptures and public domain religious texts. Our original translations, transliterations, explanations, audio recordings, and educational content are proprietary to HYPHNLabs.

Content Disclaimer

Chantly provides Hindu spiritual and devotional content for educational and religious purposes. The information is provided in good faith for personal spiritual practice.

Important:

Content is based on traditional Hindu texts and practices
Spiritual benefits mentioned are based on traditional beliefs and should not replace professional advice
We do not guarantee specific spiritual, physical, or material outcomes from using prayers or mantras
Users should consult religious scholars or spiritual guides for detailed interpretations
Content accuracy is maintained to the best of our ability but may contain errors

User Accounts and Conduct

Account Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use Chantly. Users under 18 require parental consent.

User Conduct: You agree not to:

Post offensive, defamatory, threatening, or discriminatory content
Post content that violates religious sentiments or promotes hatred
Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
Engage in illegal activities or promote violence
Spam, harass, or abuse other users
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

User-Generated Content

When you post comments or other content on Chantly, you grant HYPHNLabs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate. We are not responsible for user-generated content and do not endorse opinions expressed by users.

Third-Party Services

Chantly uses third-party services that have their own terms and conditions:

HYPHNLabs is not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their practices. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms.

Advertising

Chantly is ad-supported and displays advertisements through Google AdSense (website) and Google AdMob (app). By using our services, you agree to view these advertisements.

We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and are not responsible for advertiser claims or products. Interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

Donations

Chantly accepts voluntary donations through Razorpay to support our services. Donations are:

Voluntary and non-refundable
Not purchases of goods or services
Not tax-deductible (Chantly is not a registered charity)
Processed securely through Razorpay’s payment gateway

Donations do not grant additional rights, access, or privileges. HYPHNLabs reserves the right to refuse or return donations at our discretion.

Service Availability

HYPHNLabs reserves the right to:

Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Chantly at any time without notice
Update the app and require users to download updates to continue using services
Change pricing or introduce paid features (with advance notice)
Terminate user accounts that violate these terms

Internet and Data: The app requires internet connectivity for certain features. HYPHNLabs is not responsible for:

Service interruptions due to lack of internet or Wi-Fi
Data charges from your mobile provider
Roaming charges if used outside your home region
Device battery consumption or performance issues

Device Security

You are responsible for maintaining device security. We recommend against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this:

Increases vulnerability to malware and security risks
May cause the Chantly app to malfunction or not work properly
Voids certain protections and may violate app store terms

Limitation of Liability

Chantly is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. HYPHNLabs does not guarantee that:

Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Content is completely accurate or up-to-date
The app will be compatible with all devices or operating systems
Spiritual practices will produce specific results

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HYPHNLabs is not liable for:

Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, revenue, or profits
Device damage or data charges
Third-party actions or content
Reliance on spiritual content or practices
User-generated content or comments

Your sole remedy is to stop using Chantly services.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HYPHNLabs, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of Chantly services
Your violation of these terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you post or upload

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Chantly shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in England and Wales.

For users in India: Disputes may also be resolved under Indian law in courts of competent jurisdiction.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

HYPHNLabs may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Chantly after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

For significant changes, we will provide notice through the app, website, or email (if provided).
